The manufacturing process of this glass is started by recycling two tons per day of flat glass & glass bottles waste, then it is remelted in a furnace heated to about 1600 degrees and kept at temperature for 24 hours. The blown glass is cut by hand using an oxygen and gas flame. The debris goes back to melting, while the glasses are placed in an annealed furnace for 3 hours. Then they are washed and transported on a carriage rail to their storage location.
The lids, which are then made separately using traditional cultural Morccan methods, are made with local clay and chemical free LEAD FREE paint. Then accented with 12 karat gold.
All done by a fair trade project in Morocco to help preserve the cultural blueprint and to ensure good working conditions and fair pay is made up front to help people have a fair and good livelihood
